UTSG 2026 returns with seven categories and an all-new three-day ultra challenge
Ultra Trail Singapore is back, and the 2026 edition looks like its biggest reset yet.
Set for 5 to 7 June 2026, UTSG is returning with seven categories: 20K, 25K, 35K, 60K, 80K, 120K and 165K. That is a notable expansion from the 2025 lineup, which featured 20K, 35K, 50K, 85K and 105K.
The biggest change is the introduction of two new three-day race formats. The 120K combines 25K, 35K and 60K, while the 165K is made up of 25K, 80K and 60K over three consecutive days. It gives the event a more layered ultra offering and adds a fresh challenge for runners who want more than a single long race effort.
The venue setup has also been refreshed. The 25K starts from Pepys Road Carpark on Friday evening, the 80K starts from Pepys Road Carpark and finishes at Coliwoo Bukit Timah Fire Station on Saturday, while the 60K is centred at Coliwoo Bukit Timah Fire Station on Sunday. That makes Coliwoo a key hub for this year’s edition.
At the shorter end, the 20K also appears to be positioned as a more accessible entry point into the event. Together with the addition of the 25K, the overall 2026 format feels broader and more welcoming, whether runners are stepping into trail racing for the first time or looking to stack up a multi-day ultra experience.
There is also a stronger community-facing push this time round. The event site is promoting familiarisation runs with elite runners and ambassadors, while the organiser has been rolling out ambassador introductions across social media in the lead-up to race weekend. Among the names featured are Lynn Woo, Chester Cheong, Dias Cao, Zoey Wong, Chris Timms, Marliny, Jiwon Shin, Genifique and others.
For the local trail scene, that may be the bigger story. UTSG 2026 is not just adding more mileage. It is building a fuller event identity around race options, multi-day challenge formats and stronger community visibility. In a city better known for humidity than high mountains, that is probably the point. UTSG is leaning harder into what makes trail running in Singapore uniquely tough.
