The T100 returns on 25–26 April for its fourth edition and will see Olympic and Sprint Distance triathlons added to the race weekend, alongside the world’s best pro male triathletes competing over the event’s signature 100km (2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run) distance around the Marina Bay city circuit.
Age group amateurs will have ample opportunities with Olympic (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run) and Sprint (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) distance triathlons added for the first time in T100’s history. The introduction of a new Youth Aquathlon (400m swim & 3km run) also means that athletes as young as 14 can participate while the 5km Music Run completes the T100 weekend.
The swim leg of the three new triathlon categories and aquathlon will take place in the Marina Reservoir. The addition of new race categories reflects the continued growth of the event, with total participation increasing by 40% year-on-year from 2024 to 2025 across all events. Similarly in Sport Singapore’s National Sport & Exercise Participation survey, the three disciplines – swimming, jogging/running and cycling – have ranked among Singapore’s top ten most participated sports in 2023 and 2024. The three sports also collectively attracted participation from over one million residents each year, demonstrating the widespread appeal in Singapore.
“Our first event in Singapore in 2023 was in many ways the prototype which helped us develop the original T100 Triathlon World Tour that is now in 10 cities around the world,” explained Sam Renouf, the CEO of the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), who organises the T100 Triathlon World Tour. “In Singapore, the T100 weekend goes from strength to strength and 2026 is set to be our biggest and best yet. We are excited for the support from the authorities that will see an increase in swim capacity in Marina Reservoir for amateurs, alongside a 40% year-onyear increase in participants across all events. We hope that our addition of the Youth Aquathlon will further encourage athletes of all abilities to get involved from a young age.”
Daryl Yeo, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Development) from Sport Singapore said: “Sport Singapore is proud to be partnering with the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) to introduce innovative race formats that will enhance the profile of triathlon. The Singapore T100 Triathlon weekend has established itself as a key sporting event where world-class competition meets grassroots participation. Our National Sport & Exercise Participation Survey reflects the community’s sustained interest in the three disciplines of triathlon, with swimming, cycling and running consistently featuring within the top 10 most participated sports. With new race categories this year, spectators will witness Team Singapore triathletes racing alongside the best in the field and gaining valuable race experience on home ground.”
The T100 is covered by a global broadcast feed distributed to more than 195 territories. In 2025, more than 7,000 participants took part in the T100 across the various categories in Singapore. The T100 Triathlon World Tour has seen participation from Olympic gold medallists Adam Peaty from Great Britain and Joseph Schooling from Singapore.
