COVID-19 has disrupted sporting events globally. With the pandemic still progressing without an end to be seen, Ultra-Trail World Tour (UTWT) has taken a bold lead in announcing its updated calendar of the 2020.
- Gaoligong by UTMB: Originally scheduled for 21 – 23 March, has been postponed to 18 – 20 December
- Patagonia Run: Originally scheduled for 3 – 4 April, has been postponed to 27 – 28 November
- 100 Miles of Istria: Originally scheduled for 17 April, has been postponed to 24 – 27 September
- Penyagolosa Trails HG: Originally scheduled for 18 April, has been postponed to 16 – 18 October
- Ultra-Trail Mount Fuji: Originally scheduled for 25 April, has been cancelled

- Madeira Island Ultra Trail: Originally scheduled for 25 April, has been cancelled
- Whalers’ Great Route Ultra-Trail: Originally scheduled for 8 May, has been postponed to 30 October – 1 November
- Ultra-Trail Australia: Originally scheduled for 16 May, has been postponed to 22 – 25 October
- VVX Volvic-Volvanic Experience: Originally scheduled for 22 May, has been cancelled
- Mozart100: Originally scheduled for 20 June, has been postponed until further notice
- La Sportiva Lavaredo Ultra Trail: Originally scheduled for 26 June, has been cancelled
- Western State 100-Mile Endurance Run: Originally scheduled for 27 June, has been cancelled
- Val d’Aran by UTMB: Originally scheduled for 3 July, has been cancelled
- Eiger Ultra-Trail: Originally scheduled for 19 July, has been cancelled

According to the website, The Ultra-Trail World Tour team have pledged its full support to race organisers who have made these responsible decisions to postpone of cancel.
“The Ultra-Trail World Tour team equally wishes to express its support to all the athletes who were due to participate in the above races. We recognise the huge amount of hard work and training that goes into each race, and as such realise the direct impact these decisions will have upon each runner,” the website read.
