Pahang Eco 2024 Unleashes Trail Running Thrills: Mark Your Calendar for 23-25 August with Three New Exciting Categories!
Pahang Eco, celebrated for its challenging courses against the stunning backdrop of Teluk Cempedak, is gearing up for its highly anticipated 2024 edition scheduled for 23 to 25 August 2024. Organised by Elpis Event Management and supported by Tourism Pahang, this trailblazing event promises an adrenaline-fuelled experience like never before.
According to the event’s official Facebook page, Pahang Eco 2024 is poised to redefine trail running excitement with the introduction of three dynamic new categories. Among these is the 5KM fun trail, strategically designed to inject an element of enjoyment into the challenge. Brace yourselves as the categories—Galing100, Tokki50, Pelindung25, Pelindung12, and Tembeling5—are named after the formidable hills participants will conquer. While the specifics of the latter two categories remain tantalisingly undisclosed, organisers promise a grand reveal during the upcoming registration phase.
“In response to participant feedback, Pahang Eco 2024 is shaking things up by overhauling start times, with a particular focus on the demanding 50KM category. The ambitious goal is to conclude this challenging course before nightfall, ensuring not only safety but an immersive and unforgettable journey for participants. Additionally, adjustments will be made to the 25KM category to align with participant preferences,” said the post.
The countdown has begun, with registration set to open at the end of December 2023. To sweeten the deal, Pahang Eco 2024 is offering special prizes for early birds. If the registration target is met before April, participants can look forward to exclusive rewards as a token of appreciation for their early commitment.
Reflecting on the success of Kailas Pahang Eco 2023, where 811 participants descended upon Teluk Cempedak, the event showcased various race categories ranging from 12KM to 100KM. Sanctioned by prestigious indices such as the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) Index, International Trail Running Association (ITRA) National League, and Malaysia Ultra League (MUL), the course offered diverse terrains, from tarmac to beach and trail. Participants were treated to breathtaking views of the South China Sea and the iconic hills of Bukit Pelindung, Bukit Tokki, and Bukit Galing.
Trail running aficionados, gear up for Pahang Eco 2024. This promises to be an unforgettable expedition through the stunning landscapes of Teluk Cempedak, featuring new challenges, scenic trails, and lasting memories.
