A very tough but necessary decision has been taken by Dirigo Events in announcing the cancellation of the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2020 that was scheduled for 13 and 14 June 2020.
Due to the developing Covid-19 global pandemic, the health and safety of the runners, organising crew, volunteers, medical personnel, officials and police personnel remain top priority. After exploring all possible avenues for a postponement of the event, this year’s event has been cancelled and all individual registrations will be deferred to 2021.

Tentatively, KLSCM 2021 will be held at a similar time period in the second week of June, pending confirmation from the city council.
Consequently, all remaining Running Clinics, the REPC (Race Entry Pack Collection) and the Active Lifestyle Expo for KLSCM 2020 have also been cancelled. The Run For A Reason (RFAR) charity initiative will continue until 14 May and all funds raised thus far will be disbursed to the respective charity beneficiaries.

We implore everyone who is a part of the KLSCM family, and the wider national and global community to do their respective parts in combating the coronavirus.
