Reigning ITU World Junior Duathlon champion, Alex Yee suffered broken ribs, vertebrae and a collapsed lung in a high-speed bike crash at the ITU Triathlon World Cup event in Cagliari in Italy recently.
The 19-year-old British triathlete briefly lost consciousness after the crash and will be recuperating in the Italy and will be monitored for concussion.
Yee has dabble in Triathlon since a young age of eight, and has been following his father’s footsteps since. He has been recognised as a talented athlete to watch for the future and he’s certainly been breaking records by currently running a faster 5,000m time than Olympian hero Mo Farah was at the same age, but says his future lies in triathlon.
