ToughASIA is the Official Media Partner for Roentgen Run 5.0
In celebration of World Radiography Day, the National University of Malaysia-UKM will be organising the 5th edition of the Roentgent Run.
The Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy club from UKM has been organising this run annually since 2015. The run aims to spread awareness on the mental well-being of cancer patients as well as diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy study. It is a charity-based event and part of the profit will be donated to a selected charity.
We Cancer-vive Together
I’m a “Survivor“ – the theme resonates to never give up on life because there is always hope for a cure. Selected cancer patients in need will also receive some funds as charity from this run.

Named after Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen who discovered the x-ray on 8th November 1895, the run will have 3 categories – 3km Fun Run, 10km Competitive Run, and 18.95km Virtual Run. With various distances to choose, this run is suitable for everyone of different fitness levels. Try and encourage a new friend to join you on the 3km run!
Even if you can’t make it to Cheras on 8th December, why not sign up for the virtual run? And yes, you guessed it – the virtual run distance of 18.95km symbolises the year x-ray was discovered.
Buzz your friends and sign up together before registration closes on 10th November. Each participant will be entitled to a Survivor’s medal, drawstring bag, t-shirt and a certificate of participation.
