Maslina Ismail’s as tough as she looks, it’s no wonder she’s representing Malaysia in Rugby 7s at the upcoming Singapore SEA Games.

Tough Asia catches up with Maslina  for an exclusive video interview, giving you some insights on the Rugby 7s, which is making it’s first appearance in the SEA Games.

Rugby 7s is a variant of rugby in which teams are made up of 7 players instead of the usual 15, played on the regular sized field. As a result, rugby 7s is a much faster game with less heavy contact, wilder tactics, and lots of running.

Maslina is avidly involved in sports like running, cycling and has won a few titles and podium placings in Cross Fit and Weightlifting. The latter would really give her the edge in charging through and lifting her opponents on the rugby field.

Watch Maslina in the Malaysia women Rugby 7’s first game on 6th June at 11am.
