The Eco-X team from Nomad Adventure has been working hard on the race course, constructing the obstacles and garnering more sponsors to make the Eco-X a spectacular race that celebrates the spirit of the outdoor adventure community.
With the different race distances, the race has successfully lured over 400 people into the gruesome pleasures of adventure racing!
Kiasu or Kiasi?
The 21km will be tough and torturous for ‘kiasu’ (afraid of losing) participants who want to challenge themselves, while the 5km is a non-competitive event for ‘kiasi’ (afraid of dying) newbies who want to get a taste of adventure.
The 11km is perfect for those who can’t decide if they are ‘kiasu’ or ‘kiasi’ ! And then, there’s the kids category for the under 12’s who are just hyper and adventurous.
This year, thanks to many generous individual sponsors, they have been able to invite groups of children from the local community to participate in the race.
Hopefully, in the future, they might develop a love for outdoor adventure too.

Nomad Adventure’s Eco X races have really developed a reputation as being “created by adventurers for adventurers”, where the somewhat tongue-in-cheek atmosphere belies a grim test of endurance and determination.
