Entries for the Gold Coast Marathon 2015 opens tomorrow, Tuesday 9 December at 6am Malaysian time, GMT+8 (9am AEST). 

Are you ready to go for gold at the 37th annual Gold Coast Airport Marathon to be held 4 – 5 July 2015? This marathon is known to sell out in a matter of hours.

Renowned for a beautiful fast, flat and scenic route, the Gold Coast bring you to Australia’s picturesque coastline. Run admist thousands of other like-minded, enthusiastic runners and spot some celebrity runners along the way.

Temperatures average at a cool 15 degrees Celsius, run comfortably and achieve your Personal Best. What’s not to like?

1. Personal Challenge

The Gold Coast Airport Marathon provides people of all ages and abilities with a personal challenge. It could be to run a distance, run a personal best time, fundraise for a cause or just run.

2. Fast, flat and scenic course

The marathon course runs next to the Gold Coast’s surf beaches and broadwater and has a reputation as one of the flattest and fastest courses in the world.  The weather conditions are traditionally great for running with low humidity, little or no wind in the morning and temperatures ranging from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius. It’s ideal if you’re striving for a personal best time.

3. International status

Last year, the Gold Coast Airport Marathon became the first marathon in Australia to be awarded an International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Road Race Gold Label, putting it in esteemed international company alongside races such as the New York City Marathon, Berlin Marathon and Tokyo Marathon.
