Multisports involve multiple disciplines. For duathlon, the disciplines for running and cycling are involved. And often, this sport favours those with a cycling background, as in the case for Klang-born Jackson Loke.
The 31-year old sales executive of K-Flex Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a regular participant of multisport events in which his journey began at a duathlon event in Putrajaya. In his younger days, Jackson was an avid cyclist that cycled with a group from town to town and cities to cities, but it was the 2015 event that opened his doors to the discipline.
“It wasn’t easy because I train alone most of the time, mostly weekdays before or after work,” says Jackson. “I usually run by the road instead of the park or a stadium after a cycle or a swim. This is all part of my training routine especially months before a major race.”
However, he was disappointed that the Powerman Asia Duathlon Championships has been cancelled due to COVID-19. He had signed up for the full distance 10km – 60km – 10km run-cycle-run category.
“It is not everyday you get to participate in a multisport. But hopefully things will recover soon as it has been a while since these events have happened.”
Recently, Jackson has also tried the JoyMix Hello Bong and the JoyMix Collagen throughout his training in preparation for the next available race. “My recovery became better especially after a long hard training. I do not feel the fatigue the day after my training.”

“The shorter recovery process after using the JoyMix Hello Bong and JoyMix Collagen has helped tremendously in the recovery process after a long hard training. It is definitely a product that I would strongly recommend to everyone.”
