Olympic triathlon champion, Flora Duffy continues to create history when she defended her Commonwealth Games gold, for the first time in the sport.
“I was feeling good today, my form has been building all year and I’ve had to be patient and trust I’d be ready for this,” admitted a thrilled Duffy.
The pace was fast and relentless right from the 750m swim in Birmingham. Duffy did not lead the swim, but soon made up for it in the 20km cycling leg. She truly found her groove in the 5km run and accelerated to show her dominance, leaving Georgia Taylor-Brown in her wake.
