This weekend’s IRONMAN VR World Tour triathlon takes a turn to Asia and puts Malaysia in the spotlight.
Commonly touted as the second toughest race to the world championships in Hawaii, the Langkawi island-based triathlon is known to make the strongest men cringe at its tough climbs in the searing tropical temperatures.
Embrace a hilly and demanding race that will take triathletes through traditional kampungs (villages), mangrove clusters and rainforests on their journey to the finish line. This virtual race focuses on the long run, helping you build endurance and durability.
To earn your VR31 Malaysia edition digital badge, you will need to swim 2000 meters, ride 40 km, then run 15 km between November 5 – 8. Furthermore, with our local CMCO tightening its grip, you can even take your triathlon indoors with your preferred and compatible equipment.
Watch some highlights on the VR31 Malaysia race featuring our very own, popularly known as ‘Mr. IRONMAN Malaysia’, CG Lim.
