Azizulhasni Awang and Fatehah Mustapa focusing on Rio Olympics gold
Azizulhasni Awang and Fatehah Mustapa has arrived in Rio de Janeiro for the Olympics but has been barred from talking to the press by their coach.
Coach John Beasley does not want to put additional pressure on the cyclists, and want them to focus better instead.
“All the hard work is done. We are working on the technical side now. From now, they will they will get better and better. They are ready for the competition,” said Beasley.
Both athletes will compete in Track Cycling with Fatehah taking part in the women’s Sprint on Aug 14 while Azizul will race in the Keirin on Aug 16.
“Azizul has his own expectations. He wants to give Malaysia the first gold. He just got to go out there and perform. And let’s support him,” added Beasley.
