Avocado Smash Toast

What’s the fastest way to smash your nutrition goals in 5 minutes? Avocados are plenty and cheap in the markets now, load up your grocery basket and smash them on to your toast today.

Avocado’s healthy fats contains disease-fighting antioxidants to enabling the body to absorb fat-soluble nutrients, and these deliciously nutty and creamy fruits are essential to your heart health and nutrients.

Ingredients 

-1/2 avocado—pit removed and flesh scooped from the skin
-Freshly squeezed lemon juice
-Salt (pinch)
-Freshly ground black pepper
-1 thick slice of bread, lightly toasted
-Torn frisee or arugula
-1 slice cooked bacon, crumbled

Preparation

  1. Add avocado to a small bowl with lemon juice, kosher salt and black pepper to taste. Coarsely mash, then spread over toasted bread.
  2. Top with torn frisee and crumbled bacon. Finish with a final squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkling of kosher salt.
  3. Enjoy!
