2017 Reebok CrossFit Invitational goes Down Under – 05.11.2017
CrossFit fans in this part of the southern hemisphere will be pleased to learn that the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Invitational will be held in Australia.
At 4 p.m. AEST on Sunday, Nov. 5, the Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne, Victoria, will be abuzz with the fittest men and women from each section of the globe coming together to compete in CrossFit’s all-star games. The much anticipated rosters for USA, Canada, Europe and Pacific Teams has not been unveiled.
It’s perfect timing to host the invitational in Australia with three Australians topping three podium finishes in the individual women and men’s at the recent CrossFit Games. Tia-Clair Toomey was declared Fittest Woman on Earth followed by compatriot Kara Webb (second for women), while rookie Ricky Garard won third for men and was named Rookie of the Year.
Like in past years, CrossFit will host a friendly Affiliate Competition on Saturday, Nov. 4., allowing fans a chance to compete before they watch the Invitational.
The top 10 male/female pairs in Australia on the Open Leaderboard from the 2017 CrossFit Team Series will receive automatic invites to compete. Additionally, local affiliates will receive info via email on how they can register teams to be entered into a lottery for a chance to compete, too!

Fans who are not able to make it Down Under will be able to watch all the action will streamed live on Games.CrossFit.com.

For those who are interested to make the trip to Melbourne, tickets will be on sale soon! Once released, tickets will be available online, at the box office or over the phone.
