The love for CrossFit indeed crosses all borders and walks of life. Police officer, Jason Uberuaga from Washington too, found his passion in CrossFit and even competed in the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games in Los Angeles last month.
Having taken up the sport in 2009, Uberuaga finished a remarkable third in the age 40-44 category at the annual CrossFit Games where competitors completed seven workouts over the three day competition. This is his third appearance in the games having competed in the team event in 2013 and placed fifth in the individual event last year.

During the competition, the workouts were only made known then, and Uberuaga went through weighlifting, gymnastic-based movements and running.
“Leading up to the games, I was just doing anything my training partners could come up with. I was even swimming because you don’t know what they’re going to throw at you,” he said.
The former baseball player for Gonzaga University and 18-year veteran of the Spokane Police Department loves competition wanted to keep in shape, and CrossFit seems to be a perfect fit.
