Challenge Iskandar Puteri set to make waves on 23rd Sept

Returning for the second year in the heart of Johor’s international marina, the Challenge Iskandar Puteri triathlon is set to make waves on 23rd September.

Flagging off from the beautiful venue of Puteri Harbour, the main triathlon features a 1.9km swim, 90km of cycling, and 21km of running, and the event will also feature a shorter race for young triathletes aged between six and 18.

Iskandar Puteri lies in the southern state of Johor in Malaysia, strategically located between Johor Baru and Singapore, is considered by the Challenge Series to be one of the best locations for a triathlon in South-East Asia. The main venue Puteri Harbour Marina is an international marina surrounded by hotels, dining and entertainment options and is the main activity area for the athletes and their fans and family.

The marina is also the starting point for the Swim Course and the transition area for all courses. The 90km Bike Course will take riders around the newly-built green city of Kota Iskandar, passing Legoland, Educity and other attractions. On the Run Course, triathletes will race along tree-lined streets that surround Johor’s new administrative centre featuring a collection of architecturally aesthetic structures.

A Challenge High Performance Forum will also be held during the event where top professional Triathletes will exchange their views on topics such as diet, training and peak-planning for professional and amateur Triathletes. Many recreational activities will also be held to keep kids and families entertained.
