Vietnam secured the bronze medal at the AVC Women’s Volleyball Cup two thousand and twenty-six after defeating Kazakhstan in straight sets at the local arena on Sunday.

The Vietnamese squad delivered a dominant performance from the opening serve, showcasing consistency on both offence and defence to establish their rhythm early and take the first set twenty-five to seventeen.

Raising the intensity in the second set, Vietnam limited Kazakhstan to just twelve points, before maintaining their composure to close out the third set twenty-five to nineteen despite a determined effort from their opponents.

The straight-sets victory capped off a strong tournament for the Southeast Asian side, allowing them to rebound from their semi-final disappointment and highlight their continued growth on the Asian stage, whilst Kazakhstan concluded their campaign in fourth place.
