South Korea Debuts Marathon Reality TV Show ‘RUN’

tvN, South Korea’s nationwide general entertainment network, released its marathon reality TV show titled ‘RUN’ that will follow the story of four celebrities namely Ji Sung, Kang Ki Young, Hwang Hee and Lee Tae Sun for a global runcation.

The series that premiered on 2 January 2020 will kick start their tour at the IAAF Bronze Road Races Firenzi Marathon to complete a 42.195-kilometer race.

In the first episode, the celebs were given 27 days to prepare for the race. They were trained, tested and advised by professionals on their health condition (which can be a good advice for newcomers) to get ready.

While most of the scenes were very “reality show” where celebrities talk about their private lives, they did portray the difficulty in preparing for a marathon both mentally and physically.

Ji Sung, who is an avid runner and also the leader of pack, will continue to oversee the newcomers who will be competing (or running) for the first time.
