Police officers and CrossFit athletes raise funds for Special Olympics

Branford police officers and CrossFit athletes will raise funds that will benefit Special Olympics Connecticut, in the USA. (Patch.com)

Branford Police Officers and athletes from CrossFit Gyms across Connecticut will volunteer and/or compete in the 2nd Annual Special Olympics Crossfit Competition, raising funds that will benefit Special Olympics Connecticut, in the USA.

In a team-style Crossfit workout, officers from the Branford Police Department will team up with staff members of Shoreline Athletics. Spectators can enjoy watching this highly competitive fitness competition of extraordinary athletic teams and will also have the opportunity to support Special Olympics Connecticut by purchasing raffle tickets, tee-shirts, and food.

Several Branford businesses are sponsoring the event and Shoreline Meats & Deli will donate the food for the showdown at Shoreline Athletics on November 5th.
