Garmin Malaysia today announced the much-awaited Garmin Run Asia Series 2022 – Malaysian Marathon, taking participants on a journey from ‘Zero to Hero’.
The Garmin Run Asia Series is back with race categories ranging from 5km, 10km, 21km and a full marathon at 42 km. Taking place on the 11th of September 2022 at Dataran Kehakiman Putrajaya, the race provides participants with the option of joining physically or virtually at a registration fee starting from an early-bird pricing of RM 55.00.

To join the virtual marathon, participants may use any running tracking application or devices to
measure their running progress outdoors. Such apps would include but are not limited to the Garmin app, Strava, Nike and more. Pedometers and treadmills are strictly not allowed.
Virtual runners can run anytime and anywhere from the 1st of September until the end of the month but would be required to complete their 5 – 10 km race in one go. Participants in the half and full marathon category can accumulate their run with a minimum of 10 km per attempt/result.

Garmin Run Club Roving Sessions
To facilitate the marathon, Garmin Malaysia is featuring a series of running clinics through the Garmin Run Club Roving Sessions across the country to help train runners of all levels in preparation for the marathon. This initiative will be led by Garmin and running coach Mohd Akashah Izhar to engage the local community runners in hopes to share essential running techniques, effective training methods and much more.
