Other studies have also revealed that by consuming six days of beetroot juice, runners consume less oxygen and last 15% longer on a treadmill run to exhaustion (Lansey et al.), cyclists improve cycling performance and output by 1% for a 10km cycling time trial (Naomi Cermak, Martin Gibala, and Luc van Loon), and finish a 5km time trial faster.
