“Dare to breathe” reads the slogan for the 2020 Taipei Marathon which will be held in the popular city in Taiwan on 20th December in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Taipei City Government has opened the call for online registrations from August 18th, which will go through a ballot to determine the participants due to the high demand for the marathon.

A change has been made to the marathon route to include the Nangang Exhibition Center and Nanjing East Road, but keeps all the historical sites and finishes at the Taipei Stadium.
With the “new normal” procedures in public healthy, safety and hygiene, runners will have their temperature checked before the event starts. Face masks at the beginning of the race have also been recommended by the organisers.
