Record-breaking 1000 km Run to Conclude in Singapore on Global Running Day June 5th Run Open Invitation with Finish Line Event at The Westin Singapore

Natalie Dau, Singapore-based 10-time ultramarathon winner, has announced detailed plans for the conclusion of Project 1000, her upcoming record-breaking charity run of 1000 km. On June 5th, Global Running Day, following 12 continuous days on the road, Natalie will complete the final stretch of her run in Singapore, starting from Woodlands, and concluding with the finish line at The Westin Singapore in Asia Square at 6 pm SGT.

The running course for June 5th is mapped out in detail with estimated schedule and join point locations allowing runners from all over Singapore to join her throughout the day. Planned for a 6 pm finish line, festivities will commence at The Westin Singapore, welcoming local running groups, organizations, special guests, and partners to celebrate the completion of Natalie’s historic run and all who joined and supported her.

“I’m thrilled to be finishing this run on home territory in Singapore on Global Running Day. Project 1000 is a true community effort and I hope that anyone interested will feel free to join me in running on June 5th. You can join for as much or as little as you feel comfortable, run or cycle, or just come to celebrate at the finish line at The Westin Singapore,” Natalie shared.

Natalie’s epic run will begin on May 25th in Hat Yai, Thailand, seeing her traverse the entire length of Malaysia before reaching Singapore, and covering the remarkable equivalent of two marathons (42.2 km x 2) per day over the course of 12 days.

Completion of the 1000 km run also aims to set a Guinness World Records title for the “Fastest Crossing of Peninsular Malaysia on Foot” as well as a Singapore Records title for the “Fastest 1000 km Thailand-Singapore Ultramarathon.”

With Project 1000, Natalie is raising funds to support underprivileged women and girls, and bringing awareness to the gender gap in exercise and the importance of physical movement for mental health and overall wellbeing. While challenging herself to push to new limits, she aims to inspire others and demonstrate the power of personal determination. Funds raised through Project 1000 will be contributed to GRLS, a global charity and part of Women Win, which works to elevate women and girls around the world through sport and exercise. Natalie’s mission is to lead by example, and aligned with her belief in the power of movement and continuous self-improvement, she hopes to inspire others to build confidence, overcome self-limiting beliefs, and embrace the transformative power of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
