A Ninja Warrior Princess has been living among us in the face of Ashima Shiraishi, a 14-year-old Japanese living in New York.
Look at that sweet, effortless smile as she scales walls and boulders, higher than most adults can with her nimble fingers and agile body. Her dad is a dancer, and it’s no surprise she inherited his genes and ‘dances’ her way to the top as she puts it in her own words.
The 14-year-old New York native started climbing boulders in Central Park when she was just six years old and cannot imagine live without it. Her shoulder muscles are naturally toned and strong, an envy of every gym enthusiast.
Her natural ability as she gracefully ascents with such poise, technical know-how, strength has adults staring and gaping in awe. She sends heartbeats racing among the audience, which erupts into a resounding cheer all round as she reaches her target climb.
If you haven’t heard, Wall Climbing will feature in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo so we will look forward to see Ashima win an Olympic medal!
Watch the videos, and be inspired to make that climb one foothold at a time.
