The boys’ and girls’ team from Manipur won the overall title of Sub Junior Sepak Takraw Championship held at Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh. There was tough competition as more than 23 teams from all over the country participated in the tournament.
Sepak Takraw is one of the most popular sports in Southeast Asia, especially Malaysia and it differs from volleyball. A rattan ball is used in the game and players have to use only their feet, knee, chest and head to touch the ball for scoring.
