If you’re still thinking that you’re too old to take up Cross Fit, centurion Kameichi Yawata will inspire you to take that first step.

Yawata first took up Cross Fit when he was 99 years old and trains each week with a group of athletes for Kupuna CrossFit class from Ho’oNani Place, LLC adult day care in Waimea, Hawaii.

Amazingly, Yawata has been making history and setting records! New PR’s each week on body weight movements, and coordination on barbell work continues to increase.

The determination Yawata has is remarkable. I asked him how he has lived to be 100 and still in such great shape, he replied, “Take one day at a time”.
