BOSTON – Departing from the Port of Miami on the afternoon of March 6th, the three-night, all-inclusive Norwegian Cruise line cruise sails to a private island in the Bahamas’ Great Stirrup Cay for a Spartan Sprint race before returning to Miami on the morning of March 9th.

Co-hosted by Spartan founder and CEO Joe De Sena along with Reebok-sponsored elite Spartan athlete Hunter McIntyre, the ocean side course will welcome an estimated 2,000 race enthusiasts and their families for this first-ever totally immersive island experience. Additionally, Bart Yasso, Chief Running Officer of Runner’s World and a Running USA Hall of Champions inductee, will serve as a special guest speaker to share tales from decades of race experience and to discuss his patented training method used around the world.

Race morning will face you with a challenging course where you’ll navigate through sand, water, signature Spartan obstacles, as well as new, exclusive island-inspired challenges!

Across 4 miles in the estimated fastest time of 35 minutes. This will be a Sprint.

“It’s going to be as competitive as any Spartan Race, combined with a long weekend vacation in one of the world’s top travel destinations,” said De Sena. “The shorter Sprint presents plenty for the hardcore Elite to test themselves and is a good starter race for new Spartans.
