The recent soft launch of the 2020 Gold Coast Marathon at Twin Towers Fitness Centre Kuala Lumpur was graced by Tony Mullen, Chief Operating Officer of Events Management Queensland. The soft launch and introductory session – organised by KLCC Runners Group and Mayflower Holidays – was where participants were given a first-hand briefing by Tony and Malaysia’s multi-record breaking and fastest female national athlete, Loh Chooi Fern.

“Gold Coast Marathon is an IAAF Gold Label Road Race with participation from over 40 countries. Approximately 300 Malaysians have joined the race this year and we are looking forward to more Malaysians in 2020,” said Tony.

He also added that approximately 60% of runners achieved their Personal Best timing in Gold Coast Marathon due to its flat terrain and soothing weather. The temperature during the race ranges between 10 to 25 Celsius from sunrise until daytime.

“Come for the run, stay for the fun” – Tony

2020 Gold Coast Marathon will take place on 4 and 5 July 2020. Interested participants may contact Mayflower Holidays here.
