With the impending SEA Games, Jason Loh Chwan Chyin seems to be right on track when he claimed victory in the Standard Duathlon race at Tri-Factor Hua Hin in Thailand recently.

Racing in the Standard Duathlon 5km run – 50km bike – 10km run race, Jason started off on the first 5km run loop which included some beach running for an added challenge. After the transition, the 50km bike course was relatively flat but challenging due to some wind and rain.

A little bit of bad luck struck when he crashed his bike at the 40th kilometer due to slippery road conditions.

“The fall impacted my hip bone and affected my run, but I endured the pain and finished the run with a respectable time,” said Jason.

Spurred by the adrenalin rush, Jason crossed the finish line winning not only his age-group but overall in the Duathlon race as well.

Jason will be representing Malaysia in Duathlon at the upcoming SEA Games in Philippines. To further improve his athletic prowess, Jason has been working together with his coaches in training and planning, while integrating Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) sessions for strength workouts. Furthermore, he’s also engaging physiotherapy sessions & massage to seek more ways to enhance his performance and capability.
