‘Napercise’ – a new type of wellbeing class for exhausted parents that consists of nothing but climbing into a bed and having a sleep.

If you need a re-energising, pick-me-up during the day, there’s a new gym class for you which will get you sleeping 40 winks. Napercise classes consist of 45-minute sleep sessions that are designed to help reinvigorate the mind, body, and even burn the odd calorie, introduced by the David Lloyd club in the UK.

Upon arrival in the studio, you will find spin-bikes swapped for single beds, and upbeat workout tunes ditched in favour of atmospheric sounds. The studio temperature will also be dropped to a level that promotes calorie burning during sleep. You will feel relaxed, and be invited to curl up in one of the beds and indulge in some restorative mid-afternoon shuteye, before continuing on with your day.

Family health club company David Lloyd Clubs, becomes the first UK fitness brand to offer napping classes targeted at exhausted people.

The pioneering new session called ‘Napercise’ is scientifically designed to reinvigorate the mind, improve moods and even burn the odd calorie.

Napping in the day can help boost alertness, alleviate feelings of anxiety or stress, and improving your mood. So step in, and curl up for 45-minutes and wake up to a better you.
